LAWA's Sustainability Program formally began in 2007, and the first Sustainability Plan was finalized in 2008. Annual reporting has been ongoing since that time. These historical reports and other resources are provided herein. LAWA’s new “Boldly Moving to Zero” Sustainability Action Plan (SAP) was adopted by the Board of Airport Commissioners (BOAC) in 2019.
Los Angeles World Airport’s (LAWA) 2023 Sustainability Report summarizes progress in the areas of economic, social, and environmental stewardship across the full range of capital and operational programs at both Los Angeles International Airport and Van Nuys general aviation airport. For the first time, we are including information on LAWA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives which reflect LAWA’s continued commitment to operational accountability, the empowerment of our workforce, and development of the region.
