Scott Lee, Senior Workforce Manager
Scott Lee has worked over 28 years in the public sector. His career began at a non-profit organization in Los Angeles where he served as a Program Manager overseeing Community Health and Substance Abuse Programs. Scott then joined the City of Los Angeles Community Development Department (CDD) as the Business Development Manager of the LA Youth Opportunity Movement in Watts, a program focused on education, training, leadership development, and employment services targeting young adults. He later promoted to Assistant Director and then Executive Director.
Scott then transitioned to the Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD) where he served as the Special Initiatives Director overseeing National Emergency Grants targeting dislocated workers. He finished his tenure with EWDD as the Executive Director of the Boyle Heights Technology Center which focused on serving out-of-school, probation and foster young adults through education, advanced training, and employment services.
Scott is currently serving as the Sr. Workforce Manager at the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), where he oversees workforce initiatives for the Business, Jobs & Social Responsibility Division. Programs he currently manages include the First Source Hiring Program (FSHP), iCARE, Employer Council, Hiring Fairs, Internship Programs, Keep LA Working Grant, Rapid Response, and the Workforce Task Force.
Scott holds a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology.
