Badge holders have the right to appeal citations via a SAFE Hearing process. In order to exercise the right to appeal, the badge holder must submit a completed “Request to Appeal” form within 7 days of the date the citation was issued.
Failure to file a completed “Request for Appeal” within 7 days of the citation will constitute a plea of “No Contest” and acceptance of having committed the violation. This will prohibit the badge holder from any further action on contesting the citation, resulting in accrual and assessment of any sanctions and/or points to be entered into the badge holder’s record associated with the citation.
Note: “Request for Appeal” can only be submitted by the badge holder listed on the citation. Hearings will not be scheduled unless a completed and substantiated “Request for Appeal” has been filed within the specified time frame. If the appeal form does not load below, then please click on this link.
