CENTER WAY CLOSURES IN LAX CENTRAL TERMINAL AREA FROM WEST WAY TO THEME WAY TO SUPPORT PEOPLE MOVER CONSTRUCTION

Activity:

Beginning Saturday, May 29, Center Way from West Way to Theme Way will be closed nightly from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. to construct the Automated People Mover guideway and station in this area. Vehicle traffic will be directed to World Way to exit the Central Terminal Area. Vehicles exiting Parking Structure 2A will be routed to eastbound Center Way around the closure to exit the Central Terminal Area. Theme Way is also closed at this time and will remain closed until July 31, 2022. Vehicles and pedestrians should use caution when traveling through the area. Intermittent Upper West Way nightly closures will be needed to support the construction of the Automated People Mover guideway.  

Flaggers will be on site as needed to assist with pedestrian and vehicle traffic flow.
