Intermittent Short Term Closures on Streets in LAX Area for Underground Utility Exploration
Date: Beginning Monday, July 16, through November 1, 2018
Locations: Century Blvd., 96th St., Jenny Ave., Bellanca Ave., 98th St., Westchester Pkwy., Airport Blvd., Arbor Vitae St., Aviation Blvd. and Isis Ave.
Time: 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturdays
Details: Intermittent, short term lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays to conduct underground utility exploration on streets surrounding LAX. Lane closures will span 100 feet and will last approximately 2-3 hours. One through lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.
All roadwork will be performed during non-rush hours to minimize impacts. Century Blvd. lane closures will only occur in the eastbound direction. Public access to businesses will be maintained at all times.
