Training provides first responders, homeland security officials, emergency manangement officials, private and non-governmental partners, and other personnel with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform key tasks required by specific capabilities. Organizations should make training decisions based on information derived from the assessments, strategies, and plans developed in previous steps of the Preparedness Cycle.

ICS 100 - Incident Command System | This course introduces ICS and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. It describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the system. It also explains the relationship between ICS and NIMS. |
IS 700- National Incident Management System (NIMS) | NIMS provides a consistent nationwide template to enable all government, private-sector, and nongovernmental organizations to work together during domestic incidents. |
ICS 200 - ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incident | This course is designed to enable personnel to operate efficiently during an incident or event within the ICS. ICS - 200 provides training and resources for personnel who are likely to assume a supervisory position within the ICS. |
IS 800 - National Response Frame (NRF) | This course introduces the participants to the concepts and principles of the National Response Frame. It includes the incidents of National Significance, Roles and Responsibilities, and the Coordinating Structures. |
