Airfield Permits – Air Carrier Operating Permit (ACOP, LAX)
What is it?
An Air Carrier Operating Permit (ACOP) authorizes the permittee to conduct air carrier operations at LAWA’s airports. A separate permit is necessary for each of LAWA’s airports. An ACOP is not required at VNY.
Who gets it?
All commercial air carriers, passenger or cargo, operating at LAX.

- US Government aircraft
- Private (general aviation or "GA") aircraft

Please make the following documents:
- Prepare a Letter of Intent, click here.
- Prepare a Letter declaring compliance to noise abatement, click here.
o Noise Abatement Rules – Section 13 of Rules and Regulations - Fill out the Disaster Aircraft Recovery Operations Form, click here.
- Prepare a list of your intended fleet of aircraft, click here.

- Evidence of Insurance
- Insurance must be approved by our Risk Management Office
