A brass quintet formed in the spring of 2022 by Los Angeles Philharmonic Teaching Artists with Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles (YOLA), Brass Connection features Gaudy Sanchez and Luis Cárdenas on trumpet; Nathan Stearns on trombone; Elizabeth Linares Montero on French horn; and Bradley Moller on tuba. YOLA, the L.A. Phil’s music education program, currently serves over 1,500 young musicians across fives sites in Los Angeles County, providing them with free instruments, intensive music training, academic support and leadership training.

The members of Brass Connection are not only educators but active performers in diverse genres of music. Members have performed with the L.A. Phil and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra; at venues such as the Pasadena Playhouse; and can be heard on film, television, video game and commercial soundtracks as recording artists.
